Bansko Chalets - specialist ski accommodation

Welcome to Bansko Chalets!

Having run prestigious chalets for two seasons in the French Alps, we came to Bulgaria in 2005 to design and build Chalet Isabella. Our aim was to provide the high quality service and accommodation of a top end French chalet at a fraction of the price. After two successful years in Bansko we are now also offering a second option; Chalet Elena.

In both chalets we offer superb evening meals, breakfast, high level service, unlimited wine/beer and airport/piste transfers - all included in the price. Your British chalet hosts and chefs (who live out of the chalet) are friendly, helpful and trained in high level customer service.

Chalet Isabella has an outdoor hot-tub, wireless internet, satellite TV, home cinema DVD system, a games room and a massive open log fire. Chalet Elena also has a large games room and open fire in addition to free access to the swimming pool, sauna and steam room in the hotel next door.

Both chalets are designed for your comfort, relaxation and convenience after returning from the slopes and have views across to the pistes on the Pirin mountains.

The beautiful cobbled mediaeval town centre of Bansko, where traditional tavernas and cafes lie along side modern day bars and clubs, is only 5 minutes walk from either chalet. The gondola ski lift is a mere three minute drive from both chalets in our dedicated minibus, whilst a newly installed lift system opens up the 75km of pisted runs, in addition to extensive off-piste for experienced skiers and snowboarders. We run flexible piste transfers to and from the gondola and on busy days we run you an extra 5 minutes drive direct to the first chairlift.

An 8 man gondola and a 9km floodlit piste link the ski area to Bansko town. Eight brand new chair lifts access the slopes from the top of the gondola, with a new ski cross and freestyle snow park area having opened for the 2005/6 season for advanced skiers and snowboarders.

Bansko is the premier ski resort in Bulgaria, becoming famous for sunny skiing, excellent provision for beginners and superb off-piste powder.

As the ski area extends from 1000m up to 2600m, the snow is guaranteed from mid December to until late April. Also, skiing conditions are further enhanced by 70 new snow cannons (covering 80% of the pistes).

We are more than happy to book ski lessons, equipment and childcare for chalet guests prior to arrival (at no extra cost).

The ski hire company we use offer new Salomon skis, boots and snowboards and can provide English speaking instructors for less than half the price of Western resorts.

There are many airlines now offering flights from the UK to Bulgaria. 90% of our guests fly with either Easyjet, Wizzair, Bulgaria Air or BA. Direct flights through these operators currently cost between £100 and £220 return.
