Bansko Skiing Information

Bansko piste mapOver the last few years, multi-million pound investment into Bansko ski resort has created 75km of pistes spread between an altitude of 1000m and 2600m. An 8 man gondola and 9km floodlit piste link the ski area to town.

Eight brand new chair lifts and 6 drag lifts access the slopes; with a new ski cross and freestyle snow park area available for advanced skiers and snowboarders.

Bansko ski liftsThe Bansko ski area has the best snow record in Bulgaria, becoming famous for sunny skiing and superb off-piste powder. The season runs from the 15th December to 15th May, with 55 new snow cannons (covering 80% of the pistes) enhancing the piste conditions.

An excellent choice for beginners, Bansko ski resort offers mini drag lifts, a nursery area and many English speaking instructors available at low prices -Bansko is the perfect ski area in which to find your feet.

 

Lift Pass Costs

We can pre book lift passes at no extra cost to be ready in the chalet on your arrival. This will allow you to get straight onto the lifts on you first morning.

Ski Hire Rental Costs

We can pre book ski hire and lessons for your arrival at no extra cost. We generally use the Saloman ski shop next to the gondola as we have worked with them now for 3 years and they provide unbeatable quality of service at very low prices. Their equipment is all made by Salomon and is replaced every season. They will stay open on the evening of your arrival if you would like to get your equipment fitted then.

Ski School & Snowboard Lessons

They also run a ski school from the shop, which is in its sixth season. All the instructors speak very good English and we can reserve specialist instructors for children/advanced/freeriding/etc if you let us know in advance.

There is also a British based ski school in the resort called Method - see their website at www.methodsnowschool.com. They currently have a dozen British/Canadian instructors working with them who are all BASI trained. We can pre-book lessons with Method but please be aware that their prices are higher than the Salomon Ski School.
